Privacy Policy for HairStyle AI

1. Introduction & Who We Are

HairStyle AI (the “Application,” “App,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is developed and operated by Right Tracks IT Limited (“Service Provider,” “Company”). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use HairStyle AI, how we collect it, all the ways we use it, how long we keep it, and the rights you have over your personal data — including how to revoke consent or request deletion.

HairStyle AI uses artificial intelligence (AI) technology to process photos you upload in order to preview different hairstyles, colors, or styling changes on your photo. Because this involves processing photos of your face and hair, this policy is written to be especially clear about how that image data is handled, and specifically about the distinction between temporary facial-landmark detection (used to place a hairstyle correctly) and facial recognition or biometric identification (which we do not perform).

By downloading, accessing, or using the Application, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Application.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information You Provide Directly

  • Photos you upload — used solely for the hairstyle try-on feature you initiate.
  • Purchase and subscription information (processed via the App Store) — used to activate and manage the features you've paid for.
  • Support communications you send us (e.g., emails to support@righttracksit.com) — used to respond to your question or request.

HairStyle AI does not offer account creation or login — there is no persistent user profile, username, or password. Nothing in this policy should imply otherwise; references elsewhere to “your account” do not apply.

2.2 Information Collected Automatically

  • App usage data: screens visited, features used, session duration, timestamps, crash logs — used to debug and improve the app.
  • Device information (e.g., model, OS version).
  • Usage statistics, analytics, and crash logs.

We do not request device location access, since Apple requires that permission be tied to a specific, disclosed feature and HairStyle AI has none that needs it. If a future feature requires location, this policy and the in-app permission prompt will be updated before that feature ships.

2.3 Face Data (Sensitive Information)

If an uploaded image contains a face, the app may temporarily process that image to apply requested effects (e.g., Hairstyle, Hair color, Beard, Dress Change, Sunglass, Makeup, etc.).

  • We do not collect or store biometric identifiers, facial recognition templates, or face geometry.
  • Face data is processed in real-time only and never stored on our servers.
  • Processing occurs locally on the device or is transmitted securely to the Google Gemini API solely to complete the requested edit.

3. How We Process Your Photos (AI Hairstyle Features)

Because HairStyle AI's core function involves uploading a photo of your face and previewing hairstyle changes, this section governs that processing specifically:

  • Photos you upload are transmitted to Google Gemini API (via its API), our third-party AI model provider, solely to generate the output you requested (e.g., a preview of a new hairstyle, color, or cut on your photo). We clearly disclose this third-party AI sharing here and obtain your permission before it occurs.
  • We do not use your uploaded photos to train, fine-tune, or improve any AI model — ours or any third party's. We do not currently offer any opt-in program to use your content for model training. If we introduce one in the future, it will require a separate, explicit opt-in, and this policy will be updated before it launches.
  • Generated/output images belong to you. You may save them on your device.

Facial landmark detection, not facial recognition: To place a hairstyle correctly on your photo, the AI processing temporarily detects the general position of your face, hairline, and head shape within the image (facial landmark/mesh detection). This is used only to align the generated hairstyle to your photo. We do not perform facial recognition, do not match your face against any database of identities, do not determine or verify who you are, and do not create or store a persistent biometric template, faceprint, or facial signature of you. The landmark data exists only transiently during processing and is never stored separately or reused by HairStyle AI.

Our own servers: HairStyle AI does not store uploaded photos, facial data, or the resulting output on our own servers. User input is transmitted to Google Gemini API via its API for processing. Anything you save afterward is stored only on your device. HairStyle AI has no accounts, so there is no account-linked copy stored by us.

Google Gemini API's servers: Google Gemini API processes your photo to return the generated output. Once the user input is transmitted to Google Gemini API for processing, Google Gemini API's handling, storage, and retention of that data are governed by Google Gemini API's applicable privacy and data policies — see Section 5 below.

HairStyle AI works on an upload-and-generate basis: you select or take a photo, and the App sends that single photo for processing as described above. HairStyle AI does not currently offer a live/real-time AR camera preview mode.

3A. App Tracking Transparency (iOS)

HairStyle AI does not currently track you across apps and websites owned by other companies for advertising or cross-app measurement purposes, and we do not currently show an ATT permission prompt. If we introduce a feature that requires such tracking in the future, we will request your permission using Apple's ATT framework before any tracking begins, and we will honor your choice. You can review your tracking permissions at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.

4. How We Use Information

We use collected information to:

  • Provide photo editing and AI-powered effects.
  • Generate new images from text prompts.
  • Improve app functionality, reliability, and performance.
  • Process subscriptions and in-app purchases.

We do not use your photos, face data, or personal data for advertising, profiling, or biometric identification.

5. Third-Party Services

HairStyle AI integrates the following third-party services, each of which processes data under its own privacy policy. Each is contractually required to provide the same or equal protection of your data as stated in this Privacy Policy:

We do not sell your personal information. We may share data with these processors only as necessary to operate the Application, and they are contractually bound to use it solely for that purpose.

6. Data Retention

The information below covers only what we ourselves store; it does not apply to data that Apple, Google Gemini API, or our analytics/crash-reporting providers hold on their own systems (see the note after the list).

  • Uploaded photos (AI processing input) — not stored by HairStyle AI; user input is transmitted to Google Gemini API via its API for processing
  • Facial landmark/mesh data derived during processing — never stored by HairStyle AI; exists only transiently during the processing request
  • Generated output images — not stored on our own servers; anything you choose to save is stored only on your device
  • Support communications (e.g., emails to support@righttracksit.com) — 12 months from last correspondence, unless law requires longer

We do not ourselves record or retain purchase/subscription history, app usage/analytics data, or aggregated statistics. Those categories are collected and retained directly by the relevant third party, under that party's own retention schedule, not by us:

  • Purchase/subscription records — held by Apple (App Store), per their own retention policies.
  • AI processing data on Google Gemini API's systems — once transmitted to Google Gemini API for processing, Google Gemini API's handling, storage, and retention of the data are governed by Google Gemini API's applicable privacy and data policies. See Section 3 and Section 5.

7. Your Rights

7.1 No Account, No Login — How to Request Deletion

HairStyle AI does not require or offer account creation. Because there is no account and HairStyle AI does not store uploaded photos or facial data on its own servers, there is no account-linked photo or facial data retained by HairStyle AI. User input submitted for AI processing is transmitted to Google Gemini API as described in Sections 3, 5, and 6.

For anything we do retain longer — purchase/subscription records tied to your device via the App Store, or a support email you sent us — you can request deletion at any time by emailing support@righttracksit.com.

7.2 GDPR / UK GDPR (EEA, UK, and equivalent jurisdictions)

Because HairStyle AI has no accounts or login, we identify what data relates to you using whatever you provide when you contact us. Subject to that, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Rectify inaccurate data
  • Erase your data (“right to be forgotten”)
  • Restrict or object to processing
  • Data portability
  • Withdraw consent at any time, without affecting prior lawful processing
  • Lodge a complaint with your local data protection supervisory authority

7.3 CCPA/CPRA (California residents)

You have the right to know what personal information is collected, request deletion, opt out of sale/sharing of personal information, and not be discriminated against for exercising these rights. HairStyle AI does not sell personal information.

To exercise any of these rights: email support@righttracksit.com. We will respond within the time limits required by applicable law (typically 30 days).

8. Children's Privacy (COPPA)

HairStyle AI is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information — including photos — from children under 13. Do not upload photos of children.

If we learn that a child under 13 has provided personal information, we will take appropriate action in accordance with applicable law.

We do not serve behaviorally targeted advertising to users under 13, and HairStyle AI is not listed in the Kids Category.

9. Data Security

We implement physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards — including encrypted transmission (TLS/HTTPS) and access controls — to protect the data we process, including your uploaded photos. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Data Breach Notification: If a breach affecting your personal data occurs, we will notify affected users and relevant authorities as required by applicable law.

10. International Data Transfers

Your data may be transferred to and processed in countries outside your country of residence, including outside the EEA/UK, where our servers or AI processing providers operate. Where required, we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs), adequacy decisions, or other legally recognized transfer mechanisms.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Material changes will be posted in-app or via the App/Play Store listing with an updated effective date. Where required by law, or where a change affects how we handle your photos, we will seek your renewed consent before material changes take effect.

12. Your Consent

Where processing relies on consent (e.g., photo upload for AI processing), you provide that consent by affirmatively opting in (e.g., uploading a photo, tapping “Allow”). Consent for one purpose is never bundled with consent for another, and paid functionality is never made conditional on granting an unrelated permission. You may withdraw consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.
